A surprisingly frank, bittersweet drama of social and sexual mores in small-town Texas, the film features a talent-laden cast led by Jeff Bridges, Cybill Shepherd and Timothy Bottoms.

The FNC is pleased to invite you to a special double-screening to immerse you into the work and influences of the filmmaker Pascal Plante. 70’s american cinema enthusiast, Plante chose The Last Picture Show (1971) to link and introduce his own film Les Faux Tatouages (2017), winner of Best feature film in the Focus Québec/ Canada competition. The Last Picture Show will be projected in english after a short presentation by Pascal Plante, who will then live-comment Les Faux Tatouages in french, to explore the behind the scenes of the production.
