For the past sixteen years, the Quebec Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists has been holding a film club showing films followed by user-friendly psychoanalytic commentaries and discussions with the audience.

This April 27 and 28, it will offer a very special event: the encounter of artisans working in cinema and in psychoanalysis, focusing on three landmark films: Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin, Playtime by Jacques Tati, and Arrival by Denis Villeneuve.

Progress is the chosen thread connecting these films, which the event intends to question through the lens of the old dictum “You can’t stop progress!”
