Sofia, 17 ans, est une joueuse de volleyball prometteuse. La vieille d'un championnat décisif pour sa carrière, elle apprend qu’elle est enceinte. Souhaitant mettre un terme à cette grossesse, Sofia cherche à se faire avorter illégalement et devient la cible d’un groupe fondamentaliste. Mais ni Sofia ni ses proches n’ont l’intention de se soumettre aux intimidations.

On the eve of a volleyball championship which is decisive for her future as an athlete, 17-year-old Sofia finds she has an unwanted pregnancy. As she tries to terminate it clandestinely, she becomes the target of a fundamentalist group intent on deterring her at all costs, but neither Sofia, nor those who love her, are prepared to surrender to the herd's blind fervor.
