Pour rendre cet événement encore plus spécial, le réalisateur du film, Jeremiah Chechik, originaire de Montréal, sera notre invité spécial.

Né et élevé à Montréal, Jeremiah Chechik (Benny & Joon, Diabolique) revient dans sa ville natale pour célébrer le 35e anniversaire de son premier long métrage. Bien qu’il vive maintenant aux États-Unis, Chechik parle toujours couramment le français et reste profondément attaché à ses racines québécoises. Gageons que le public lui réservera une ovation monstre, pour le remercier d'avoir offert un classique de Noël qui continue de répandre la joie et la nostalgie année après année.

Après la projection, une séance exclusive de questions-réponses avec Jeremiah Chechik sera animée par Jason Lee Rockman et Jarrett Mann, directeur du Festival SPASM.

This holiday season, experience a Christmas classic like never before! Cinéma du Parc, in collaboration with McFly EVT, is proud to screen the newly restored 4K version of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989). Adding to the excitement, the film’s director, Montreal native Jeremiah Chechik, will be our special guest at this celebration of the movie's 35th anniversary.  

Jeremiah Chechik: Montreal’s Holiday Hero Returns  

Born and raised in Montreal, Chechik (Benny & Joon, Diabolique) returns to his hometown to mark the 35th anniversary of his first feature film. Though now based in the United States, Chechik still speaks French fluently and holds his Quebecois roots close to his heart.  Expect thunderous applause from a grateful audience as they celebrate the man behind a film that has become a timeless Christmas tradition.

After the screening, there will be an exclusive Q&A with Jeremiah Chechik, hosted by Jason Lee Rockman and SPASM Festival director Jarrett Mann.
